Not only did I thoroughly enjoy watching all the entries but I also felt inspired. Yes inspired :)
I noticed these videos were done by happy people using colour, some soft, some crazy, some pastel and some down right flirty. I also noticed that these people were enjoying their craft and doing the looks they loved doing.
I was inspired to go back to my old videos and have a look at the looks that I used to create and I am glad that I did. Back then I always just done a look that popped in to my head making the videos not only coloured completely by my taste but they were also not pre though out. They were as Nike would say "Just do it" style.
Over the years on Youtube it is hard to keep thinking of new ideas and that is why I always ask for requests from you. Problem is Id done too many requests and forgotten about my little passion "Colour" and being down right "arty".
Here are some of the looks I used to do back then and I am itching to get back in to it all on my channel. I feel like my channel needs a boost of passion and I got just that whilst watching you! :) Thank you.

The top photo in this post is the reason I started watching your makeup tutorials! There was a link to that Brazil World Cup look in a soccer (football, whatever) blog that I regularly read. You have inspired to go out of my comfort zone when it comes to makeup aka use eyeliner, seriously a big step. I've learned how to do blending techniques and I really appreciate it! I didn't have many friends in high school when you really start learning how to use it with your girlfriends at slumber parties, in fact I didn't wear makeup til I was 21! Its been so helpful to have your videos teach me how to apply it. Can't wait to watch your next video! Thanks so much!
Lauren,
I enjoy your videos so much! I just got my brushes Friday and have been loving them over the weekend. I look forward to your videos and when I see you have a new one up, I get to it right away!! I love "visiting" with you and trying your looks so much. You are a real sweet gal and I wish we were neighbors!
I have a look for you to try.... I have green eyes and have loved wearing mauve over the years. I can't seem to find the right color but it always looked so pretty with the green eyes.....
also I love Yellow! But am not sure how to wear it....would love to see what you could come up with for a bright springy look using yellow....
Thanks again for the brushes! They are super!

Your original crazy, colorful, "non-thought-out" looks are what drew me to your channel in the first place, and I have stayed a fan throughout ALL your looks, but I think it's awesome that you'll be going back to looks like the ones above! :) Can't wait to see your new creations! Love you, Lauren!
Lauren, I'm so glad you realise you need to get back to what YOU like doing. It's great to take requests and do some celebrity looks but what made your channel in the first place is that you did what you liked, you got inspired and did your own thing.
I love that you take on board what people say, suggest and ask - that you talk to people in videos, twitter, etc - but don't lose yourself!
Kerry, Thank you very much for your comment. I really appreciate you taking the time to write to me about your make up story. I think a lot of people are the same and didn't get in to it until a lot older than others.
Shiela, So glad you are enjoying your new brushes :) Thank you for trusting in me to purchase them. I will absolutely do a spring time look using yellow for green eyes. I love yellow and have green/hazel eyes myself so should be fun!
Yes well Jolene, I am going back to my fun times because I prefer to be spontaneous and I feel I was better back then for it. So stay tuned for some colour madness :)
@AWildDog yes but I could only realise that by listening to the people who watched me. So I am very thankful for that. I am quite excited because although my colour vids were better back then I didn't have the right camera and lighting, Now I have I am hoping to produce some fab colourful content :)
I've been watching for a very long time now and my favorite creative look to this date is the Alice in wonderland Tim Burton Cheshire cat look. :) You inspire me to be creative with my makeup looks and make them fun as well! Keep strong and stay beautiful! Love you Lauren!! PS I've always loved wearing dark burgundy, dark oranges and brown colors on my eyes, I have green eyes, but I would love to see a look with all three? Think its possible?! Much love!

A long time ago I was stuck in a makeup rut. I did three or four looks on myself but that was it. I was too scared to change because I just didn't know how to apply makeup and to get it to look just right. I remember the day when I came across a post from you on Video Jug. I sat down at my computer and typed in the words how to do a smokey eye. I watched one or two posts by others, but I just didn't like how they rushed through everything and didnt give the finer details I was looking for. But when I watched your post I was sitting there with a big smile on my face as I listened and learned from someone who was so down to earth, not up themselves and I have said this before but you talk to us and not at us. You make those who watch your videos feel at home or like we are right there in front of you.
I enjoy hearing how you are doing in life not just with makeup but the puppies and art. I still smile when I think about the snoring dog in the background. I look forward to many more looks and giggles along the way.
You were the very first youtube guru I started watching and subscribed to. I cant wait to see you go back to what you love to do with make up.
You have always been a joy to watch and I cant wait for more. Best of luck to you beautiful Lauren *hugs*
